Have you ever seen the lights from magazines or cafes and wanted that look for an event? Revert back to simplicity, with clean and classy but beautifully functional, Michigan bistro lighting. These marketplace lights deliver just that, their old world bulb style is perfect for any occasion. The rustic vibe of these light strands is beautiful and creates a more intimate setting. With bistro strings, you can bring the outside in or accentuate an industrial space inside with lighting. Some companies push over the top lighting for every event, sometimes you need to take a step back to really appreciate their beauty. Hang them from tree to tree, inside tents, poles, or anywhere outside to turn any outdoor space into a hangout, the more creative the design, the better.
The beauty of these lights is in their simplicity. For example, we hung these lights throughout the historic Piquette Plant in Detroit for a wedding reception. This incredible landmark is the perfect location for a more industrial look for a party. Combining the atmosphere of the room with the bistro lights gives the room an old school look and feel. Between the beautiful cars and the rustic look of these long strands of classical bulbs, it really set the mood for the night.
We have also used this for outdoor bistro light for parties that wanted to add a touch of ambiance to give their back patio a “rooftop of New York,” look and feel. These lights look great hanging from trees, balconies, and even rafters without bringing too much light to the area. To make sure the mood is just right; our bistro lights come readily connected to a dimmer switch to alter the brightness. Some guests are very self-conscious when the lights are bright, so we bring them down to make them feel more comfortable. If you are outside, we can brighten or dim them depending on the amount of brightness desired.
There are numerous possibilities when it comes to the way you string the lights. We string the lights over a very large area in just one direction or we can go back and forth across a space add more to a certain area. We can also do many simple things that make big impacts with these lights as well. For example, we can cross the strands over each other to make what looks like a whole network of lights resembling a rooftop cafe. Along with that, we can dip the lights so that droop down from one connection to the next or pull them tight to make the lines almost perfectly straight. Maybe you’d like to dance under the stars? Hang them elegantly over a dance floor to create an atmosphere like that of dancing on stage under the twinkling expanse of the sky. These lights also cast shadows over everything around them and blow in the wind like tree branches. With a gentle breeze, shadows will dance all over your space along with your guests to create a very warm and inviting environment.
